Wei Yuan is a molecular biology postgraduate undertaking his PhD at the University of Bristol and is supervised by Professor Andres Lopez Bernal. Wei has studied epidemiology at genetic and molecular level and has also researched cell culture, genotyping (sequencing), data analysis using STATE, and the single nucleotide polymorphism selection from valid Internet database. Prior to arriving in the UK, Wei was a research assistant in the Medical Department of Northeast Normal University in China, where his studies focused on joint influence of genomic mutations in a set of carefully selected DNA repair genes on the radiation treatment outcomes of cancer. |
