William Puszyk, is a PhD student appointed under a SAFE PhD Bursary awarded to Professor Maj Hulten, Department of Biological Sciences, University of Warwick. Prior to taking up the PhD studentship, William was a Research Technician at the University and he has experience in techniques of DNA extraction and quantification from whole blood, plasma, buffy coat and placental tissue, as well as experience with Southern Blot Analysis. William, who has a BSc in Biological Sciences (Hons) from Kings College London, will be working on the development of bio markers for chromosone 21 to be applied with respect to Trisomy 21 Down Syndrome.
