Sina Mueller is studying Medicine since April 2003 at the Georg-August-University, Faculty of Medicine in Goettingen, Germany. Sina started work on her MD thesis in March 2006 at the Department of Transfusion Medicine, supervised by Professor Tobias Legler. During the first year Sina will evaluate two high-throughput nucleic acid extraction instruments for the determination of the foetal D status from maternal plasma and for the detection of single nucleotide polymorphisms during early pregnancy. Sina will spend a second year at the Faculty o f Applied Sciences, University of the West of England, supervised by Professor Neil Avent. She will work on the samples previously tested with DNA methods and will study the proteome of mother and foetus.
