In 2006 Lenka graduated with a Masters degree in Immunology from the Faculty of Science, Charles University in Prague. The theme of her thesis was "The use of extracellular fetal DNA present in maternal circulation in non-invasive prenatal diagnosis". From October 2006, she commenced her PhD studies in Assoc. Professor Ilona Hromadnikova´s group at Charles University. Lenka´s field of interest is the noninvasive prenatal diagnosis of the pathological placentation associated disorders, independently on the sex of the fetus.
