Kin Choi graduated with a Honours Degree in Applied Biological Sciences from the University of the West of England and is currently supervised by Professor PeterSoothill and Professor Neil Avent. He has spent a year working for GlaxoSmithKline in the Biopharmaceuticals Centre of Excellence for Drug Discovery where he worked to Good Manufacturing Practice. He has experience in reverse phase high performance liquid chromatography and Multiplex Ligation-dependent Probe Amplification. Kin is creating a biobank of patient samples and performing Affymetrix GeneChip array analysis of the samples to identify genes of interest with the aim of identifying biomarkers associated with pregnancies with chromosomal abnormality.
