Dr Anthony J McCollum

Dr. McCollum qualified as an electronic engineer in 1980. He has since worked in various academic and industrial environments in machine vision technology for industrial and biomedical purposes. Academic research into three-dimensional imaging and parallel computer architecture led to a doctorate in 1990. Dr. McCollum later joined a commercial manufacturer where, as Engineering Director, he was responsible for developing several laboratory-automation and imaging products for applications in molecular biology. In 1997 he became a Research Associate at Imperial College, investigating applications of multivariate signal processing to colour and multispectral images. This work directly led to a Technical Directorship of an SME. Currently he is a Research Fellow at Oxford Brookes University.
