Dr Debbie Maddocks

Debbie Maddocks is a SAFE fellow working at the Bristol Genomics Research Institute (BGRI). She has been working with the SAFE project since May 2005 following on from a postdoctoral position working on aspects of non-invasive prenatal diagnosis (NIPD) funded by the NHS. Debbie has an interest in ffDNA and ffRNA and is currently working on elucidation of novel biomarkers for detection of chromosomal abnormalities and pregnancy complications. This forms part of a larger group project focussing on detection of biomarkers for aneuploidies, with a particular interest intrisomy 21. Debbie is currently taking a microarray approach to biomarker discovery
