
Dr. Mayreli Ortiz graduated in Chemistry from the University of Havana, Cuba in 2000. She obtained herPhD in Chemistry in 2006 at the same University working on nitric oxide sensorsfor therapeutical applications. After a brief postdoctoral stay at UniversidadAutónoma de Madrid she joined in 2007 the Nanobiotechnology and BioanalysisGroup at Universitat Rovira i Virgili as a Postdoctoral Fellow. Within SAFE sheworks in DNA biosensors, in particular in the development of signalamplification methods based nanoparticle-modified electrodes andstimuli-sensitive liposomes
