The aim of the Network of Excellence SAFE is to build a network of experts in non-invasive
prenatal diagnosis and to achieve durable integration of these experts and partners.
This will ensure the effective introduction of large-scale non-invasive prenatal
diagnosis in Europe. The interdisciplinary nature of SAFE makes it an ideal platform
to unite and integrate European scientists, clinicians, psychologists, ethicists and
economists.
A range of measures will be developed to enable the building of a network of European experts for NIPD and to ensure integration of the partners. These measures include:
Education: PhD studentship program, Fellowship program, delivery of workshops, seminars
Information: SAFE website, survey of integration factors
Some of these integration activities have already been planned and measures were taken during the first 2 years of the project. Some of the integration activities are newly developed.
